Tuesday, September 1, 2020 @ Noon

at the Ashford Historic Depot




There were five random water samples taken from each section of the City of Ashford due to the Precautionary Drinking Water Notice that was recently published and the results are negative from any harmful bacteria. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.





Ashford Citizens


The City of Ashford will continue their efforts to repair/replace various fire hydrants within the City on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.  The area that will be affected during the next phase of repairs will be 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue, Church Street, Midland Street and Christmas Alley.  Please remember, there is a possibility of an interruption in your water service. Again, we appreciate your patience and understanding while progress is being made for this great City.

The City of Ashford has been named a 2019 Certified Municipality by the Alabama League of Municipalities, a highly regarded honor awarded to cities and towns in which the mayor and all councilmembers have earned the professional designation of Certified Municipal Official. The 2019 Certified Municipal Achievement Awards were presented in Montgomery on Thursday, July 23, during the Business Session of ALM's annual convention and Councilmember Mr. James Smith and Mayor Carole Barfield attended the convention to represent the City of Ashford and accept the highly regarded honor. Congratulations!
